Architecture connecting historical and contemporary landscape elements

Old lanes flanked by hedges are awesome places for a walk. You come from a tunnel like setting into wide and open area. Fields are getting bigger and bigger. Agricultural landscape is changing from a versatile mosaic of hedges, trees, fields and ditches to an industrial production ground. Versatile historical landscape is a home for thousands of animals and plants. And is very enjoyable for humans too!

A historical hedge is mixture of different trees and bushes like oaks, hawthrone, willows and many more. Some bushes grow to trees and were used to collect fruits. Other plants were used to build baskets. It is an complex system made by mankind. It is the job of landscape architects to show differences, give people an invitation to explore and understand landscape. Landscape is the place where life happens. Time to sit down and think landscape!
